BELLAIRE BOYS TRYOUTS (Main)

2026-27 Season

All players who try out are required to submit uniform sizes. Plan to arrive 1/2 hour before your scheduled tryout if you have not physically tried on new uniforms this summer.


**HVA has upgraded to a NEW uniform supplier for 2026-2027 and the fit will be different from our previous Mizuno items.

BOYS Schedule by Age Division

We held our Large Group boys tryouts in Jul/Aug 2026. However, we are looking for boys to join us throughout the year!! We have multiple teams in every age group 12U-18U and we have open spots in each age division. So, we’d love to have you come tryout with us by attending a practice in your age division. They are 2hrs each scheduled on Friday nights between 6-10p or on Sundays between 2-8pm scheduled from Sep 2026 – Jun 2027.

Cypress Boys Tryouts (2026-27 Launch)

2026-27 Season

2026-27 brings the expansion of the HVA Boys Club Program into the Cypress / Jersey Village / CyFair / Willowbrook areas. We are excited to build on the great success of our HVA’s Boys Club Program as we grow into the area!

2026-27 Age Definitions

  • 18 and Under: born on or after Jul 1, 2008
  • 17 and Under: born on or after Jul 1, 2009
  • 16 and Under: born on or after Jul 1, 2010
  • 15 and Under: born on or after Jul 1, 2011
  • 14 and Under: born on or after Jul 1, 2012
  • 13 and Under: born on or after Jul 1, 2013
  • 12 and Under: born on or after Jul 1, 2014
  • 11 and Under: born on or after Jul 1, 2015
  • 10 and Under: born on or after Jul 1, 2016

Team Fee Schedule

Our team fees are determined by calculating the team's cost for training from Sep-Jun and playing in the tournaments throughout that time. Each team and age group will have different parameters in these areas, of course.  

Player cost is determined by dividing the team cost by the number of players on the team. So, the player fee will be determined by a number of unique factors. Once we've completed the tryout, we'll know what role and what team is the best placement for the athlete. Then we'll reach out with the specific schedules and costs etc. 

FEES INCLUDE:

SEASON

  • While some clubs don't include POST-SEASON. We are COMMITTED to attending it every year!
  • Our fees includes all tournaments from Sep - Jul.

TRAINING

  • Two 2 hours practices each week
  • Two 30 minute performance training session each week
  • One weekend minicamp each month for all teams
  • 4 NCAA camps (no extra charge for HVA athletes)

How will i be evaluated as an athlete?

All athletes will be evaluated for athleticism, volleyball skillset acumen, volleyball IQ, & coachability.  After the tryout, you will receive your tryout results and be provided with an offer to join our program commensurate with your assessed skill level.

expected practice schedule

Teams will practice two days per week (Friday & Sunday) unless they have a tournament. 

  • Teams will practice at the Zone on Stella Link on Fridays after 6pm and Sundays after 2pm

Teams will also be provided with a Minicamp, approximately once per month. 

  • Team minicamps will practice at PAC Gym or THUNDER Gym, nearby the Zone.
